Bodine Family Garden: by Norm & Danielle Bodine
A pond and stream were the beginnings of this 2002 outstanding garden. Masa Mizuno, previous Landscape Director for the Portland Japanese Gardens, designed and constructed the Bodine’s pond garden. A beautiful Fuji Cherry and mature Japanese maples were placed along the pond’s edge. An Azumaya bench and stone bridge to an island are features you don’t want to miss. Paths lead you to a courtyard garden as well as a patio garden. These gardens feature mature trees, flowers and colorful plants, plus several hundred azaleas and rhododendrons. Enjoy this one-of-a kind garden with stunning water views of the Puget Sound.
