Apply for a WIGT Grant
Whidbey Island Garden Tour grants funding to causes promoting conservation of our environment through restoration, beautification and education, for stewardship of our shared habitat.
Complete the online form and submit by 5:00 pm, May 23, 2025. Applications will be reviewed by the WIGT board and funding will be awarded in August after the annual tour takes place. Applicants are asked to please help us market the tour by notifying your organization membership about this year’s tour and sharing our website and social media links.
All projects must be approved by Board or administration of requesting organization prior to grant application.
The Committee also recommends that presentations include handouts, including pictures, diagrams or other illustrations, if appropriate. Written materials that can be used as references later in the Committee’s deliberations are most helpful and appreciated.

Beneficiaries will be asked to report their progress on their projects six months and one year after receiving their grant.
The following are our grant categories for our 2025 grant cycle. The categories are not weighted, they all have equal chance of award. Grant applications might include one or more categories. The list is for assistance in writing your grant but is not all inclusive.
Environment/Biodiversity (protection and preservation)
Education (teaching the community)
Stewardship (safety and access)
Stewardship (food security helping the land feed the community physically)
Beautification (helping the land feed the community spiritually)

- Creating or enhancing plant sensory experiences for individuals with physical or personal limits
