Provence on Whidbey: by Leogene Brown
This lovely estate is nine acres of mixed terrain and gardens; a formal European home with formal garden landscape. Rolling hills of pasture and grass lead to an older farm house with enclosed vegetable garden with raised beds framed by weeping Wisteria over the gate and carpet roses framing the entrance. Kiwi vines creep and wind around the fence to the west, asparagus and berry bushes grace the two terraces on the east. A small created forest of different trees divide the two homes. A Monet-like pond and bridge grace the circular drive. This is a haven for artists in oil painting, metal, wood, and glass. Studios will be open for a visit.
