Improving our shared Whidbey Island habitat
The Whidbey Island Garden Tour is an all-volunteer, nonprofit group established in 1996. Our mission is to provide funding to local causes and non-profit organizations supporting the improvement, restoration, education and maintenance of our common Whidbey Island habitat. Over the past 25 years, the tour and our sponsors have raised more than $370,000 for grants to over sixty causes meeting our mission objectives. In 2022, we granted over $14,000 to local grant recipients. More than 80 private gardens have been opened to the public for the tour. Our trained volunteers serve throughout each garden to direct parking, control access, manage traffic flow, and provide information. |
