The Mahieu-Harris Garden:  By Brian Mahieu & Tom Harris
The Mahieu-Harris garden is an artist’s garden, designed by Brian as a motif for his paintings. Bold use of architectural plants, often planted atop berms for extra impact, evoke a sense of wonder and escape in the garden. Painterly use of plant material creates a lush, tropical aesthetic using texture, color and fragrance.

The garden is a series of biomes. The most dramatic is the bog garden. A tranquil fern garden abuts the driveway. There are also xeric, Mediterranean and cottage garden areas. It is a small garden — and a young garden — but packed with plant life. Nature barely contained.
